As a Journalism student, I have learned many valuable things that I can apply to my life. One of the things I've learned is photography skills. I've always been interested in photography, but I never knew how to capture a unique photo. The photography unit helped spark my interest of taking photos even more, and I learned the different types of photography skills- fill the frame, leading lines, rule of thirds, excitement/emotion, and unique angles or viewpoints. By keeping these skills in mind, I have gotten better at photography and have been able to capture good quality photos. All in all, Journalism has taught me things about writing, photography, lighting, and more. I am excited to explore more topics in this class and look forward to the next semester.
